School Programs
Fundraising is a Major part of Assumption School's budget. These programs assist in keeping tuition costs affordable. Your participation in any of these programs is greatly appreciated. The following are ongoing fund raising programs. See Mrs. Molner's weekly memos for periodic additions and changes.
Helping Hand Program
The "Helping Hand Program" began June 1st, 2002. How it works?.. Customers buy debit cards/gift certificates from local grocery stores at school the school office or before and after weekend Masses.
Debit cards/gift certificates may be purchased at the following stores: Big Y, Stop & Shop, Adams, and Shop Rite. The debit/gift certificate cards are available in 10/25/50/100 dollar amounts. The school purchases debit/gift certificate cards in bulk amounts and then receives them at a discount rate for the school.
The current rates that Assumption School earns:
Big Y: 2%, (6% During the months of Oct., Nov., Dec.)
Stop & Shop: 5%
Adams: 5%
Shop Rite: 10%
We cordially invite all to participate in this worthwhile program. Please encourage friends and family to participate also. Have a child entering college? Purchase these debit card/gift certificates from Assumption School, they are redeemable at all chain stores. They make great gifts too!
Clothing Drive
Our Clothing Drive will be year round with a Black Drop-Off Bin located on North Cliff St. between the Assumption Church and the old Ansonia Armory Building. Clothing, Coats, Shoes, and Linens can be dropped off there anytime.
Loyalty Cards
Big Y, Shop Rite, and Adams all have Special programs that give points to our school when purchases are made with your cards. Please use the Store Cards.. These points can be used for us to buy equipment.
SBC/SNET
The school earns 5% of your long distance bill if you are registered at no extra cost to you. Registration forms are available in the Office.
